JOB DESIGNATION:-Lead Consultant application developer.
JOB LOCATION:-Pune, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, UK, USA.
JOB DESCRIPTION:-
•As a Lead Consultant at ThoughtWorks, you take key technology decisions during various stages on a project. You create the technical roadmap of the project and make sure that the entire team remains on the same page w.r.t this roadmap.
•You are involved with a project throughout its lifecycle ; from the requirement gathering stage to the final release cycle. Although this is not a senior architect role, you are expected to influence the architecture of the project and create the HLD & LLD for the project.
•You are expected to do hands-on coding almost on a daily basis on the project.
•Throughout the lifecycle, you are expected to be the “go to” person for any technical challenges that the project faces.
•You are expected to be the technical mentor for fellow developers & work closely with them to ensure that the different parts of the project work together well.
•You are responsible for making appropriate technology choices (e.g. frameworks, tools etc.) which befit the project from technical as well as business standpoint.
•You are expected to ensure that the quality of software delivered by the team meets the client’s expectations as well as ThoughtWorks’ standards.
•You work closely with the client to ensure that the project evolves to meet emerging business requirements.
•For relatively smaller projects, you are expected to be the Architect. For larger projects, you are expected to work closely with the Senior Architect to come up with the architecture and take it further.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:-
- Passionate about technology, always eager to CODE, very particular about code quality, and take pride in calling yourself a developer regardless of your experience. If you are not willing to code on a regular basis, this is not the right profile for you.
•You have minimum 7+ years of application development experience in Java / C# / Ruby. You have the experience of creating HLD & LLD for web-based projects & have contributed towards the architecture of projects.
•You have relevant experience in working on projects which involve enterprise level web based application development.
•You have in-depth knowledge of one or more stacks of technology like J2EE / .NET / Ruby with excellent understanding of SOA and Web services.
•You keep yourself aware of the latest developments & TRENDS in technology and try to utilize them appropriately while taking technology decisions. You are also open to working on multiple platforms / tech stacks. If you are not open to working on multiple platforms (J2EE / .NET / RoR) then this is not the right profile for you.
•You possess strong analytical skills and the ability to conceptualize technical solutions.
•Apart from strong coding capabilities, you also have the ability to mentor fellow team members on coding & design related issues (OO, patterns etc).
•You have excellent COMMUNICATION SKILLS and have relevant client facing experience. Also, you are open to travel to client locations as and when necessary.
